DESCRIPTION:Be part of history! Participate in one of California's longest-running Christmas Bird Counts: the 60th Annual China Lake CBC.\n\nContinuing with tradition\, the count will be the first Sunday of the Count Period\, this year on December 18\, from 0700 to 1700.\n\nCount week is from December 15 to 21. Species that are seen during Count Week but not on Count Day also get tallied\, so keep an eye out for interesting species you see during that period\, and note where you see them.\n\nWe will meet at Leroy Jackson Park at 0700 on the 18th. The compilation and pizza party will be at 5 pm\, venue TBA when you sign up. Bring a picnic for lunch in the park.\n\nPlease give Peter Woodman a call (760- 861-3961) or email at (Kivabio@aol.com) and let him know if you plan to participate (by December 12 so he can get range passes completed if you wish to bird the China Lake "ponds" in the afternoon.)
