DESCRIPTION:It's time to get together with old friends and make new ones at the Annual Holiday Dinner and Gathering of the Historical Society of the Upper Mojave Desert on Tuesday\, Dec.16\, at 6:30 p.m. at the Historic USO Building\, 230 W. Ridgecrest Blvd.  Enjoy a scrumptious tri-tip dinner that includes mashed potatoes\, a green salad\, and roll prepared by HSUMD master chef Chuck Cordell\, and a pot luck dessert.  For non-meat eaters\, a delicious vegetarian lasagna dish will be available.  A festive carol sing-a-along featuring local musicians will follow the dinner. Tickets are priced at just $10 per person\, and reservations must be made  by Thursday\, Dec. 11.    Doors will open up at 6 p.m. for this gala holiday event to which the entire community is invited.    Don't forget to bring a dessert!
