SUMMARY:First Aid Instructor Development Course
DESCRIPTION:Would you like to teach first-aid at your work\, club\, church\, or other social organization? Do you know someone who does? This course gets you one step closer to being able to train people into a two-year certification in life-saving skills such as Standard First-Aid / Cardiac-Pulminary Resuscitation (CPR) / Automated External Defibrillator (AED). This course is designed to provide the instructor-candidate with the knowledge and skills needed to teach Emergency Care and Safety Institute (ECSI) first-aid programs in the community. The instructor development course has several modules\, including modules which requires the instructor-candidate to: present two prepared topics\, handle questions and answers based on prepared presentations\, and demonstrate skills proficiency in the courses to be taught. When the instructor-candidate has met the requirements to complete this course and has shadowed the instruction of an ECSI first-aid course\, the instructor-candidate will be qualified to instruct of first-aid classes they are currently certified in on their own.
