The recent rains and El Ni o predictions have presented a challenge in planning the Historical Society of the Upper Mojave Desert's next Field Trip destination. So\, intrepid tour guide Jim Kenney is asking trekkers to just trust him. He will do a pre-run just before the trip\, and find some new and interesting diversions such as a monument to the dangers of aviation or an old well or two that will surely excite field trippers! Plan for all kinds of weather: warm\, cold or windy. Layered clothing\, good sturdy shoes\, a packed lunch\, a camera and bottled water are a must. Some short off-road activity is planned\, so good tires and clearance are necessary. Please meet Saturday\, Feb. 27 at 9:45 a.m. at the Historic USO Building.
