DESCRIPTION:Ridgecrest Republican Women\, Federated will hold it's luncheon on Friday January 23\, 2015 in the banquet room of the Clarion Inn\, 901 N China Lake Blvd from 12noon to 1:30pm.\n\nOur guest speaker will be Ridgecrest Mayor Peggy Breeden. \n\nMayor Breeden is a local business owner and has lived in Ridgecrest since 1982.\n\nShe grew up on a dairy farm in upstate New York. After working for others\, Mayor\n\nBreeden started a produce company and later found she had cancer\, refusing to give up\, she came to this valley and found a life and some amazing people.\n\nShe now owns The Swap lSheet\; it has been a successful valley fixture since 1946.\n\nMayor Breeden has almost 68 years in business dealing with budgets. governmental regulations\, employees and customers.\n\nMayor Breeden has served or serves on\, the Cerro Coso College Foundation Board\, Senior Services of IWV\, Economic Development Corporation of IWV\, City of Ridgecrest Successor Agency Oversight Committee\, Groundwater Management Group\, China Lake Museum Foundation and Desert Valley Credit Union Supervisory Committee just to name a few.\n\nMayor Breeden was elected to serve on Ridgecrest and Inyokern Chambers of Commerce\, Indian Wells Valley Airport District and Indian Wells Valley Water District.\n\nThe cost of the luncheon is $15 and reservations are required.
