DESCRIPTION:Guest speaker will be Ridgecrest Police Chief Ron Strand.Chief Strand has been employed with the Ridgecrest Police Department since 1986. He has worked in a variety of areas\, including Patrol\, Narcotics\, and Investigations.  Strand has anassociate's degree in Administration of Justice from Cerro Coso and a bachelor's degree in Organizational Management from the University of La Verne.  Chief Strand was promoted through the ranks until he became police chief in 2008.  He is the city's 9th police chief.\n\nThe public is invited to attend. The luncheon is 12 to 1:30pm in the banquet room of Charlie's at the Clarion Inn. The cost of the luncheon is $15 and reservations are required.
