DESCRIPTION:Calling all World War II and Korean War Veterans. You and your spouses are cordially invited to the third monthly Veteran's Breakfast\, hosted by the Historical Society of the Upper Mojave Desert at the iconic Historic USO Building\, 230 W. Ridgecrest Blvd. This free breakfast (donations welcomed) is open to veterans from World War II and the Korean War\, and takes place on the third Thursday of each month (this means\, April 21 this month from 8 to 10 a.m.) in appreciation of these veterans' service to our nation. A hot breakfast will be served to folks gathering and sharing experiences and memories. Current servicemen and women will be on-site to assist with the event\, to learn of those veterans' experiences\, and to share some their own. There will also be an opportunity to learn about the Honor Flight Program and other veterans' programs in the area. Call 760-375-8456 for more information.
