Astronomical Barbecue and Star Party-Cerro Coso Community College

Astronomical Barbecue and Star Party.  Join us for this family-friendly event where star gazers enjoy great food, live entertainment, and are exposed to the beauty and wonders of the night skies.   Cerro Coso Community College Lawn in front of the Learning Resource Center.  Tickets for the dinner are $10 per person for a Tri-Tip and BBQ Chicken Sandwich, Beans, Chips, Potato Salad, and Dessert and can be purchased at the College Business Office, Red Rock Books, Maturango Museum, and the Ridgecrest Chamber of Commerce.  This year’s event includes family friendly games, music, raffles and more.  Following dinner, everyone is invited to go up to the observatory where they can observe the night sky.   No fee for parking during public events. Tickets required for dinner but not for star gazing.  Call the college office at 760-384-6262 for more information.
