Civil War Musical Performance, Americus Brass Band
On Tuesday, January 16th, an authentic Civil War band, Americus Brass Band, will bring their instrumental talents to the Parker Performing Arts Center, Burroughs High School, at 7:30 p.m.
The 14 member band sought several Civil War historians and collectors to replicate period instruments and large library of original music to keep this glorious but terrible chapter in American history alive in the 21st century.
Americus Brass Band, sponsored by the Indian Wells Valley Concert Association (IWVCA), remains the foremost professional Civil War replica band in the country and tickets for this performance are on sale at Red Rock Books, Jeff's Music Shop, and Maturango Museum and range from $22 to $25.
