Following a major disaster; police, fire, and medical professionals may not be able to fully meet the demand. THE COMMUNITY WILL HAVE TO RELY ON EACH OTHER to meet their immediate life sustaining needs. Particularly Ridgecrest, Inyokern, Trona and surrounding areas are isolated and may be cut off from the main roads for a period of time. Community Emergency Response Training programs were developed through FEMA to provide basic training in safety and life saving skills for the general public. This session covers the following units: * emergency preparedness * fire safety * emergency medical operations The training course will be presented in nine units in three days. 5/2, 5/9, 5/16 You must attend all nine units to get your certificate of completion.
