Dine with Your Candidates Dinner

Everyone is invited to the Dine with Your Candidates Dinner. Ridgecrest Mayoral and City Council Candidates will meet the public informally while having dinner. A dinner buffet is available but it is not mandatory to buy a meal. Attendees will be encouraged to sit at booths of six. Each candidate will have 5 minutes, (strictly adhered to), to address the audience. Then, following the last speaker, each candidate will sit at each table and field questions from the diners for 12 minutes. The end of 12 minutes is signaled by a train whistle, which notifies each candidate to move on to the next table. This is a wonderful opportunity for the public to meet the candidates face to face. Because of the arranged informality, this venue works well especially for those who may feel shy about speaking in a large group. The Dine with Your Candidates Dinner events in the past have been well attended and received praise from both the candidates and the public.
