Explore Downtown

Several familiar merchants of the historic Old Town Shopping District and a few of the valley's most popular rolling eateries are getting together to plan a lively shopping and food fest event once a month through the end of the year. Starting this Sat., July 11 from 5 to 8 p.m., “Explore Downtown” invites the public to browse and shop many of our town’s well-known retail venues and purchase a wide variety of taste-tempting treats from six local rolling food vendors. Participating merchants and food vendors include:  All That Glitters,  Baxendale’s, Botany’s Desire, Camila’s, CRUISE PLANNERS® of the Indian Wells Valley, Desert Dog, DMC Exotic Jungle, The Flower Shoppe, HSUMD Gift Shop in the Historic USO Building, Kelly’s Closet, Lindsay’s Furniture, Little Hannah’s Bread of Life, Monograms Plus, Paula’s Healthy Hut,  Romancing the West, Retro Records, Red Rock Books, S & M Coins and Collectibles, Shanghai Boutique, Solar Body Shop, Tobacco’s Center, T. J. Frisbee’s Bicycles,  and Vintage Vault and…The Dog Haus, J and D Beef Jerky, Jo Jo’s Barbecue, Los Cabanas, Shaved Ice Shack and Taste of Town’s. The merchants are planning many fun activities, including musical performances and raffles.  Come dine and shop as the sun goes down in Ridgecrest’s very own Old Town located on Balsam Street and Ridgecrest Blvd.
