The Historical Society of the Upper Mojave Desert’s Genealogical Committee has found itself awash in an excess of reference materials needed for that committee. Therefore, a “Free Genealogical Book Day” will be held in the Veterans Memorial Building, located directly behind the Historic USO Building, 230 W. Ridgecrest Blvd. on Friday and Saturday, October 14 and 15, and again on Monday, October 17 during Gift Shop hours: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Stop on by!
