HSUMD General Meeting

This month’s general meeting of the Historical Society of the Upper Mojave Desert will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 18 at 7 p.m. at the Historic USO Building, 230 W. Ridgecrest Blvd.  It will feature Lone Pine author and former Inyo County film commissioner Chris Langley, speaking about his project “High & Dry: Dispatches from the Land of Little Rain”.  Discussed will be the long-term exploration of the deserts of the American West, the public’s perception of those lands, the people who live there, and decisions being made about the deserts’ future.   For more information about this free, public event, call the HSUMD at 760-375-8456.
