7:00 pm at Historic USO Building with guest speaker Pat Rogers. Pat came to Ridgecrest over 40 years ago and has been active in the community ever since. Over the years, she served on the Museum board and the Fair board for 10 years each as well as the HSUMD board. Pat is best known for her role in designing and managing the construction of the Maturango Museum when it moved from the Quonset hut on base in 1986. Pat is an engaging speaker and will recount some of the truly hilarious adventures of those days and perhaps answer the question, “Why Museums, Why Historical Societies?” Andrew Sound heard her tell the story of the Maturango construction at the Museum’s 50th Anniversary celebration and tells us to expect a fascinating and entertaining evening!
The Society meets on the third Tuesday of most months. Meetings are free and all are welcome to attend. For more information on this or future meetings, call the HSUMD at
