The Innovation Symposium is being held in conjunction with the California Innovation Hub for Defense, Energy and Aerospace (iDEA Hub).The theme of this action packed, one day event is "Innovation in Defense, Energy and Aerospace," show casing some of the brightest industry, academia and government agency collaborators in their fields. This event has already created a buzz throughout the region with the promise of thoughtful exchanges between city officials, industry CEOs, academic professors and a keynote address from Mr. Frank Kendall, Undersecretary of Defense for Acquisition, Technology and Logistics. Other speakers will include Abe Karem the CEO of Karem Aviation, Alden Woodrow from the Google [x] Team, Robert Morris the CEO of TerrAvion, Mark Skoog from NASA Armstrong, as well as guests and speakers from NAWCWD at China Lake and Pt. The iDEA Hub partners consist of the Indian Wells Valley Economic Development Council, the Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division and NASA Armstrong Flight Research Center as the participating federal labs, the Ventura County Economic Development Association, the China Lake Alliance, the China Lake High Tech Consortium, InSitech, Cerro Coso Community College, Tech Venture Network of Ridgecrest, Indian Wells Valley Airport District, City of Ridgecrest, and Kern County, along with various high-tech companies in the region.
