The popular HSUMD video series, “Pictures of Us” by Mark Pahuta and Leroy Doig III , will continue all summer, presenting fascinating glimpses of the Navy’s history at China Lake every 4th Tuesday of the month, at 7 p.m. at the Historic USO Building, 230 W. Ridgecrest Blvd. So be sure to mark your calendars! Coming up on Tuesday, June 23, “Science and Cetaceans,” Part 1 of “From Submarines to Satellites” will be presented by Pahuta and Doig. These programs, which are free and open to the public, offer a wonderful opportunity to view footage from China Lake’s in-house productions, some of which has been only recently rediscovered and reclassified. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
