Open House Retirement Reception for Marsha Lloyd
Marsha Lloyd, the librarian of the Ridgecrest Branch since September 1978 has retired. We are hosting an open house style retirement reception with light refreshments for her on Friday, 2/6 between 2 pm and 4 pm. At approximately 3 pm either Denny Kline or Mick Gleason will present a commendation to her from the County of Kern. In lieu of gifts or flowers, she has requested that donations be made to the Friends of the Ridgecrest Branch Library Grant Account. The funds placed in that account will directly benefit the Ridgecrest Branch Library. The funds have been used to purchase Legos for the Lego Club as well as programs (such as the Omnipresent Puppet Show this past December) and local history books for the branch.
