Join thousands of other cyclists around the globe on May 20th as we pay tribute to those who have been injured or killed while biking. With this moving and unforgettable event, we also hope to increase cycling awareness, as well as encourage everyone to share the road. If any of the aforementioned strike a chord with you, meet at the white bike on Jacks Ranch Road just north of Drummond at 6:35 pm SHARP. We will be holding a pre-ride commemorative ceremony, so please be punctual to avoid causing interruptions. Upon entering city limits, we will be escorted by the Ridgecrest Police Department along our 8-mile route at no more than 9 miles per hour. This ride will not be strenuous and we strongly encourage everyone to participate. Lights and helmets are absolutely required. The Ride of Silence is free of charge, but High Sierra Cyclists will be graciously accepting donations to cover the cost of mandatory insurance. Visit our event page (Ride of Silence) on High Sierra Cyclists' Facebook page for more information, or e-mail us at highsierracyclist@gmail.com.
