Shine the Light on Domestic Violence

The Women's Center-High Desert, Inc. is hosting their third annual Shine the Light on Domestic Violence Awareness Walk on Thursday, October 20th starting at 7:00 pm. This event will be an hour long and the walking section will take less than 30 minutes. We will gather at the water fountain between City Hall and Kerr McGee Center. This event in intended to unite survivors and supporters to discuss issues regarding domestic violence, listen to songs of hope performed live, followed by a walk around China Lake Blvd. Each participant will be given a flashlight upon arrival. There is no charge for this event, but please consider donating a non-perishable food item, toiletry item or a household cleaner. **Caution** It will be dark outside during this event.
