The Kern County Historical Society announces two symposia to be held in February and March in celebration of the county’s 150th anniversary. Both programs will be held at the Kern County Museum’s Standard School building in Pioneer Village, 1801 Chester Ave., Bakersfield, CA. Meetings will run both days (Saturday, Feb. 19 and Saturday, March 20) from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. with a lunch break at noon. The meetings are free and open to the public. Participating historical groups will be manning booths featuring their books and offering opportunities to share personal county memories.
