About Us

The mission of our museum is to preserve the history of China Lake and educate our visitors. Our exhibits tell the story of the weapons and support systems developed for our nations warfighters by unique military-civilian team.
The CLMF is a 501(c)(3) non-profit educational corporation established in 1993, whose goal is to create a self-sustaining, historical, educational, and entertaining museum that shares the history of China Lake and its role deployment of Naval Armament and Technology and to nurture curiosity in Science and technology in youth. The original museum, the U.S Naval Museum of Armament and Technology was located on the Naval Air Warfare Station-China Lake. The China Lake Museum is the first phase of relocation to the city of Ridgecrest.
