Desert Community Orchestra Association

The Desert Community Orchestra meets weekly on Tuesday nights to rehearse under the direction of Mr. Robby Martinez who comes from Bakersfield for the rehearsals and concerts.  While we are primarily a symphonic orchestra, we give a "Pops" concert to open our season followed by a seasonal "Christmas" concert. Those concerts are followed by two symphonic concerts, the last being our Young Artists concert. Our orchestra is composed of unpaid musicians of all ages. We offer the opportunity for musicians to play in a symphonic orchestra led by a conductor.

The Desert Community Orchestra supports the community with live orchestral performances, backs local classical musicians of all ages, and encourages younger musicians to pursue musical education with performances and scholarships.
