About Us

The club was charted on July 9th , 1959. We are a community Service Club. We are: 1) Striving to make the community a better place, 2.) Focusing on Youth,
Children, and Families, 3.) Part of Kiwanis International (A global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world, one child and one community at a time. Started back in 1915 with 7,800 clubs in 80 countries (600,000 members), 4.) Sponsors
for K-Kids, Builders Clubs, Key Clubs, and Circle K Clubs, and 5). We meet twice a month, and meetings are informative, friendly, and fun. Our Objectives: 1) To give primacy to the human and spiritual, rather than material values of life, 2.) To encourage the daily living of the Golden Rules, 3.) To promote the adoption of higher social and professional standards, and 4.) To form enduring friendships.
What do we do? 1.) We assist Children’s and youth organizations via monetary donations and giving our time. 2.) We provide monetary donations to the underprivileged and handicapped, 3.) Raised over $20K annually from our Walk a Thon for local schools and youth projects every year for over 20 years (until 2019)., 4.) provide college scholarships every year worth of thousands of dollars, 5.) Donate $2,500 per year for the children’s buying spree (Child Spree) and working with other
organizations (Last year are Clinica Sierra Vista and Fraternal Order of Eagles) to help kids to buy back to the school supply (this year will be 80 kids for $100.00 per kid). 6.) Support District and International projects. What we also do? 1.) sponsor Burroughs High School Key Club.
