HSUMD Field Trip
HSUMD field trip planned for Saturday, January 24.
Join your tour guide, Jim Kenny on Saturday, Jan.24 , 7 :45 a.m. at the Historic USO Building for a driving/walking tour of Randsburg, Johannesburg, Red Mountain and Atoila. The tour, which will leave promptly at 8 a.m., will include a visit to the recently burned Union Mine headframe, southwest of Atolia, a trip past "Dog Patch", and views of mining areas not readily seen from Highway 395. As time permits, a visit to the Rand Museum will be included. Bundle up according to weather conditions, and your vehicle will need to have some clearance and sturdy tires. 4 x 4s might be needed for snow or rain.
